Fleet Management has been recognised with two award wins at the ESGBusiness Awards 2026. The Net-zero Award in the Maritime category recognises our work to reduce emissions across our managed fleet. The Workplace Wellness Programme Award in the Hong Kong category recognises our commitment to the wellbeing of onshore employees, seafarers and their families.

The ESGBusiness awards recognise companies which take a practical approach to sustainability. The category wins celebrate how Fleet Management is testing new technology, building the skills of our people and strengthening the care available to colleagues and families.

Capt. Raja Subramaniam, Chief Executive Officer of Fleet Management, said:

“Every small step makes a big difference in how we move forward. These recognition shows that we can deliver on our commitments and aspirations. I want to thank everyone across our team for their conviction and commitment.”

Making practical progress towards net zero

The Net-zero Award recognises our Climate Transition Strategy and the progress made across our vessels under management.

Our strategy focuses on more efficient operations, new technology and lower-emission fuels. We also work with industry partners and improve sustainability across our workplaces. It aims to reduce greenhouse gas intensity while preparing vessels and seafarers for lower-emission operations.

In 2025, the greenhouse gas intensity of our managed fleet was 42% below the 2008 baseline. This exceeded our 2030 reduction target of 30%. At the reporting date, energy-saving devices had been installed across 74% of our vessels.

We are also testing emerging technologies. This includes trials of onboard carbon capture and storage (OOCS) and wind-assisted propulsion, alongside wider use of biofuels. Our technical teams have also contributed their expertise to ammonia related studies and projects.

Preparing our people is central to this work. More than 1,750 seafarers and 22 technical superintendents have completed training on dual-fuel systems or lower-emission fuels. This helps our teams manage new vessel technology safely and reliably as it enters service.

By bringing together better emissions performance, technical learning, fuel readiness and skilled people, we can control risk and maintain reliable vessel performance. This helps us care for our customers’ assets throughout shipping’s transition to lower-emission operations.

Supporting wellbeing at sea, onshore and at home

The Workplace Wellness Programme Award recognises our approach to caring for office-based colleagues, seafarers and seafarers’ families.

Our approach combines employee wellbeing programmes delivered by our HR team with dedicated care for seafarers and their families through Fleet Care.

For shore-based employees, this includes confidential assistance, health screening, resilience and stress-management learning, and regular wellbeing sessions. In 2025, our monthly ‘Wellness Wednesday’ webinar series reached more than 1,370 employees across eight sessions.

Fleet Care provides counselling, wellbeing training, family engagement and practical assistance throughout a seafarer’s career. In-house psychologists deliver the programme, with added resources from the International Seafarers’ Welfare and Assistance Network and Sailors’ Society (ISWAN).

These services help families stay connected during voyages, prepare for emergencies and manage a seafarer’s return home. In 2025, Fleet Care facilitated 17,703 family-support calls. Psychological first aid sessions also reached 4,642 seafarers.

Participation continued to grow. Membership of the Fleet Family Support Group rose by 134%, from 652 to 1,545 members. Our Group wellbeing index increased from 88% in 2024 to 91% in 2025.

Workplace wellbeing extends beyond the office. Caring for our people and their families helps build resilient teams. It also supports sound decisions, safe voyages and consistent service for our customers.

The people behind our progress

These awards recognise colleagues across our business, spanning technical and non-technical functions. Together, we brought together strategy, policy, technical expertise and everyday care to make this progress possible.

Our progress depends on our combined knowledge, care and willingness to learn. We will continue to take practical action that supports our people, reduces environmental impact and protects the performance of every vessel entrusted to us.

These awards recognise the dedication and expertise of teams across our business. Our progress depends on their knowledge, care and willingness to learn.
