The manager of the oil tanker JILL GLORY (IMO 9959917), reports that the vessel was approached by armed attackers near the Gulf of Aden on 22nd January 2026 at 1501 hours IST.
All the crew remain safely onboard and no injuries have been reported. Anti-piracy procedures were immediately activated and the vessel prepared for increased speed and evasive manoeuvres.
All relevant authorities have been notified, and the company is in continuous contact with the local Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) and naval forces for assistance.
