Fleet Management Limited has won the Environmental & Green Transition Award at the Seatrade Maritime Crew Connect Global Awards 2026.

The award recognises Fleet Management's work to reduce emissions across the managed fleet while building the capabilities needed to support shipping's energy transition.
Decarbonisation is now a commercial question for shipowners. FuelEU Maritime, the EU ETS and CII ratings all carry economic consequences, while the long-term fuel pathway remains uncertain. Shipowners need partners that can deliver measurable performance today while preparing for the fuels, technologies and operating requirements of tomorrow.
In 2025, greenhouse gas (GHG) emission intensity across Fleet Management's managed fleet was 42% below the 2008 IMO baseline, already exceeding the IMO's 2030 reduction target.
Those results reflect a combination of operational expertise, energy-efficiency initiatives, retrofit programmes, digital tools and workforce development. More than 1,750 seafarers and technical professionals have completed dual-fuel and low-emission fuel training, while Fleet Management currently manages more than 30 dual-fuel vessels.
Receiving this award during Seatrade Maritime Crew Connect Global 2026 in Manila is a reminder that shipping's transition will depend not only on the vessels being built, but on the people operating them. As fuels, technologies and regulations continue to evolve, developing future-ready crews remains one of the most important investments the industry can make.
Capt. Somasundar Nair, Executive Director, Fleet Management Limited, said:
"This award reflects the commitment of our seafarers and shore-based teams, and the work they do every day to improve performance, build capability and prepare for the future of shipping."
Fleet Management thanks its onboard and onshore teams and congratulates the other winners and finalists.
