Simulating for Every Scenario
IMI possesses a state-of-the-art engine room simulator, enabling cadets to train on advanced electronic and dual-fuel engines. Simulator-based courses approved by the Directorate General of Shipping are offered for various Marine Engineer Officer levels.
Its experienced faculty deliver specialised instruction on electronically controlled engines, including MAN Energy Solutions’ ME series and Wärtsilä’s RT-flex systems.
In addition, IMI is equipped with a full mission bridge simulator. This allows cadets and officers to practice real-time navigation, collision avoidance, and emergency response in a safe, controlled environment.
From Classroom to Commission
After graduating with the required grades, cadets and trainee marine engineers undergo a series of assessments, including an English language proficiency examination and physical and mental health evaluations, before being qualified to sail on a Fleet Management vessel.
