Vigilance against recruitment scams
We have been made aware of recruitment scams targeting job applicants seeking employment with Fleet Management and other maritime companies.
Scammers impersonate company representatives or agents, offering fake job opportunities at home or overseas. They solicit fees from candidates seeking employment with Fleet Management Limited – these may include requests for job application fees, visa application fees, processing fees, and training programme fees.
Scammers use fake email addresses, social media channels, forged documents, and fraudulent telecommunication channels to attract and defraud unsuspecting individuals.
We place the utmost importance on safe and transparent recruitment processes for all candidates. Please read our guidance below:
Please be advised:
- We never request payment at any stage of the recruitment process
- We only communicate with candidates through our website, job portal and verified email addresses – company documents with official letterheads, contact information and signatures.
- We do not communicate job offers over WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, or other public communication platforms.
- Please be suspicious of any adverts that ‘guarantee’ a job or placement. Every candidate must complete assessments such as interviews and pre-sea medical checks before any offer is extended.
If you encounter a possible recruitment scam:
- Suspend all engagements with the third party
- Contact Fleet Management to verify the job offer
- Report any suspicious recruitment activities by submitting an enquiry form: Contact Fleetship | Get in Touch with Our Team
