June 17, 2026

Fleet Management, a part of The Caravel Group, today released its 2025 Responsibility Report which outlines the company's progress and commitment to a sustainable maritime future.

This report sets out our progress and the standards we are working to meet. It also marks five years since the launch of Encompass and reflects how we operate today and how we are preparing for a changing maritime industry.

Shipping is entering a period of tighter regulation, shifting fuel pathways and rising expectations on safety and transparency. Our response is disciplined and practical. We invest in our people, strengthen our systems, and manage risk with care.

Encompass continues to guide our approach, built on four pillars. Navigating responsibly. Evolving environmental stewardship. Safeguarding people. Working together.

2025 highlights:

  • 42% reduction in GHG emission intensity across our managed vessels from our 2008 baseline
  • Ammonia familiarisation training developed and delivered at Fleet Management Training Institute (FMTI), preparing our seafarers for next-generation vessel operations
  • Safety campaigns increased 77% since 2022, from 13 to 23 - exceeding our annual target of 12
  • 91% Group wellbeing score - surpassing our 2028 target of 78%
  • 92% employee engagement score across the Group
  • 93% DEI score for the Group
  • 500 job-ready cadets joined Fleet, following our acquisition of the International Maritime Institute
  • 17,703 family support calls handled through Fleet Care, with Fleet Family Support Group membership more than doubling to 1,545
  • ESG metrics embedded into every onshore performance review

Alongside operational progress, we continued to invest in capabilities that support long-term performance. This includes training for alternative fuels, stronger safety systems, and programmes that support seafarers and their families.

Our focus remains on outcomes that matter. Safer vessels. Reliable performance. Reduced emissions. And strong governance that supports our clients’ mandates and helps protect the integrity of our operations.

A disciplined path to 2030

In 2025, we refreshed our ESG goals and set clearer milestones for 2030. These targets guide how we manage performance, strengthen accountability and prioritise investment.

We are continuing to strengthen governance and regulatory compliance across vessels and offices, alongside continued emissions reduction and sustained progress in safety, wellbeing and workforce development.

This is a long-term effort. Progress depends on consistent execution, strong data and the judgement of our people at sea and onshore.
