From summiting 20,000-foot Himalayan peaks to competing in Volleyball tournaments, bowling leagues and charity events, Fleet colleagues continue to pursue challenges both at sea and onshore. These achievements offer a glimpse into the people behind our operations. While the settings may be different, the qualities behind them are often the same: preparation, perseverance and teamwork. Fleet Management Second Engineer Melisha Mathias recently summited Mt. Yunam, a 6,111-metre Himalayan peak. After an earlier expedition was forced to turn back due to severe weather, months of training and determination helped turn disappointment into success, carrying the Fleet flag to more than 20,000 feet above sea level. Colleagues across India tracked her progress.
Bowling, Hong Kong
Our Hong Kong office hosted its third bowling event, with 105 colleagues participating. Teams were mixed across departments to encourage collaboration, with colleagues from Cyprus and our summer interns also joining.
Volleyball, Cyprus
In Cyprus colleagues participated in a charity beach volleyball tournament. The event provided an opportunity for the team to compete, connect and represent Fleet while supporting the charity initiative.
Indoor sports, Mumbai
Fleet India’s indoor sports competition brought together more than 110 colleagues, competing in chess, table tennis, carrom, arm wrestling and tug of war. The programme featured men’s and women’s categories, doubles events and team competitions.
Team Bonding, Singapore
85 colleagues in Singapore came together for an evening of karaoke, darts, food and drinks. The team bonding event provided an opportunity to step away from the usual work routine, connect and have fun together.
